tadahh.. first day at uob alexandra building. overshot by two stops cos i wasn't sure of where to alight exactly. had to walk to the building in the rain. thankfully it's only a drizzle.
brrrh. it's bloodily cold here. their aircon seems to be free or something. i've to remember to wear a jacket tomorrow.
i'm typing in notepad cos i don't have internet access at the modem. =/ dang. maybe i should go sign up for M1's broadband. just plug in the usb shit and i can use the Internet riaos. oh ya, the thinkpad ibm gave, or rather lent, doesn't have wireless built in. nice of them right. -.-
but i'm kind of assigned here at the wrong timing. boonkiat, the guy i'm assigned to, is busy along with the rest of the ibm team over here at uob. so i haven't been briefed yet, and it's about lunch time already.
but to be honest, i've no idea when's lunchtime. so.. -.-
dang. i'm shivering.
i've spent the past three hours or so, playing solitaire and hearts. but now, by observing them, at least i roughly get the idea what a network engineer really does. for now, our job at uob alexandra is to migrate the datacenter from the old one to the new one. will take 2 months to complete. so presumably, i'll be in alexandra for two months. =//
thankfully, this chenwei guy whom i'm working with, is from the previous batch of interns. and he's here cos he extended his contract with ibm. until he enters NS, that is. so we can talk quite abit la. hahaha. but he's super slack. =/
omg, i miss being in ibm office already. -.- nyaa.
what's there to do, what's there to do~~
the network engineers are now shifting their schedules, to fit everything within a day. o.0
don't know how is that possible, but that's their job to make it happen, so i'll just watch and learn, i guess.
but goddammit, give me access to internet plox.

i've internet access now, though temporarily. i borrowed the M1 modem from chenwei cos he's going for a meeting along with boonkiat, etc. kekeke.
and wth, i just had the quickest lunch ever. i gulped down a scalding hot horfun cos we went off to lunch late at around 1.20 when the meeting's scheduled at 2. -.- scalded my tongue a little, but the horfun is actually quite nice wor. keke.
right now, to kill time, i'm typing a short story out. it's entirely fictional hokay, based from my imagination de.. but since my imagination abit limited, so yeah. =////// kekeke.
