PART TWO:
DISCLAIMER: This is a purely fictional story. Any similarities or resemblances to real life events are purely coincidental. ;)
Usual Characters:
Alex - An apparent nice and friendly guy, but there seems to be a side to him not known to others... yet.
Carol - An apparent innocent and naive girl, but is actually more matured in her thinking then she appears.
Janice - Carol's good friend. Seems to be blur most of the time, and actually is. But she is firm about her own likes and dislikes.
Ben - An admirer of Carol's. Is fiercely loyal and faithful, and will always be there whenever his friends need help, but is often unappreciated and left out at times.
Pat - Carol's good friend. Is extremely friendly and approachable. Tries to bond her friends together. Her actions and words are at times easily misunderstood, but she's reasonable and forgiving enough to resolve the misunderstandings.
Suzie - Carol's good friend. Also friendly and approachable. Tends to be loud and bossy, but usually gets her way with people because she doesn't have ill intentions at all.
Jay - On good terms with generally everyone and is well respected by his friends as he is several years older in age and thus more matured and tends to have an objective outlook on events.
Jacky - An IT whiz. Fond of experimenting with various software, exploiting bugs and loopholes in security, which ends up in him doing things that might not always be legal.
Wake - [Modeled after myself, obviously] A deep and quiet person who tends to keep things to himself as far as possible. Is usually detached from various events as much as possible, but will be observing them silently at one side.
Leann - Carol's good friend also. Tends to be forgetful. Prioritises her friends over self most of the times. She appears to be nonchalant about whatever events that happen, but is actually more inquisitive and observant than what she lets on.
Robert - One of Wake and Ben's buddies. Acts stupid all the time and usually is. Tends to be goofy all the time and tries to keep things fun and cheerful.
New Character:
Zack – Buddies with Wake, Ben and Robert. Appears to be quiet and aloof, but he cares more about his friends than he shows.
Extra characters: i'll add them as when i like, but i'll roughly describe them when i add them.
[Flashback]
“Hey, Janice, your phone’s ringing.”
“Huh? Okay…”
She took up her phone and checked the message.
“What the…”
She closed the message, and resumed shopping with her friends.
[End of flashback]
While driving back home, Wake received a phone call.
“Hello?”
“Are you home already? I’ve something to tell you…”
……
Deep in thoughts, Wake started his MSN on his computer. As in they were waiting for him, he got pulled into a group conversation. Zack then shot off a bunch of questions while Ben was throwing curses around.
Wake tried to explain what he knew about the incident over at the retreat and Zack suddenly interrupted.
“Never mind, Pat just called.”
“Oh okay. Then there’s no need for me to say anything more.”
“Yeah. That bastard’s going to get it good from me.”
Ben then joined in, “Anytime you’re going to give it to him, call me along.”
“Don’t. Don’t make matters worse.”
…
The conversation carried on, with Wake trying to get Ben and Zack to calm down when he agreed with both of them deep inside. But what was stopping him from joining the two was that someone will get hurt emotionally in the process.
Meanwhile, Jay and Jacky who were the first to know, decided to do something. Jacky decided to show off the fruit harvested from the seed he planted, but Jay was more rational about it and he advised Jacky to be patient, and use it only when the time is right.
Jay then decided to investigate more about the person’s behavior prior to the incident, and through probing here and there; he managed to uncover more about him prior to the incident.
He then casually asked a few of the female colleagues to find out more, and he managed to find out that various messages with questionable content were sent to them.
[Flashback]
MSN:
“Hey, you miss me? Can date you out or not?”
“You ask my boyfriend first.”
“[Insert insults]”
Boyfriend glanced at Suzie’s screen.
“What the fuck?!”
[End of MSN flashback]
[Flashback]
SMS: “Hey, you miss me or not?”
“He’s damn irritating!!”
“Who?”
“Him!” shows Boyfriend the message.
“Enough is enough.”
Boyfriend takes phone and calls the guy and reprimanded him.
[End of flashback]
Soon, the handful who knew what happened, decided to warn the girlfriend of his actions but they had no idea how to break it to her properly. Eventually, even her close friends’ got wind of everything and were having difficulties restraining their urges in telling her. As if to make matter worse, their anniversary is arriving soon and they couldn’t bear to break the news to her when she was so looking forward to it.
And often, they will meet up as a few of them were sent to attend a five-month long course at different locations. Regrettably, they would not be working together for some time as it would be the other group’s turn when they go back to the company.
But to a few, it was a blessing in disguise as they did not want to see someone if they could help it.

However, things did not progress as they’d have wanted it to. By some twist of fate, the girl realized from the various hints that Wake and Ben dropped, she began questioning and soon, she found out the truth; just after her anniversary.
