stupidity knows no boundaries indeed. -.-

hm. i'm someone who's quite particular about languages, that i will tend to correct a person if i see him/her using a word wrongly, or thinks that a word that is spelt wrongly is correct, etc. it's just my pet peeve [a cause of annoyance] la.

for quite some time, there's this guy who loves to flaunt off his awful command of japanese in the forums that i frequent, so at times, out of kindness and intolerance, i'd correct him, then he'd make up some excuses that he self taught himself the language through books, so okay, i didn't insist on any further.

then yesterday, he was on at it again. then i corrected him again, and he insisted that he was correct and began insulting the school where i took my lessons from. it's a pretty respectable school in singapore, actually. Bunka Japanese Language Centre. but i didn't tell him that though. then he was demanding why the need to emphasize on a petty difference between 'to' and 'tou', so i typed out in japanese for him to see: と and とう. a petty difference of one extra kana [character], which means alot, actually. then he said, 'it's not meant to be written', or something along that line. so he actually learnt a form of japanese that wasn't meant to be written huh.. but again, i didn't argue on any further, and just said, oh okay.

he didn't relent though, and just kept on insulting 'whichever third grade school' i was from. but i just ignored him la. wasn't in the mood to play around with a dumb fug as of yet. otherwise i'd have kept myself plentifully entertained. keke.

and just now. he was complaining about how was he supposed to act as a friend from poly to another forumer as both of them were going out with a friend of the second forumer, who apparently dislikes forumers. then he was saying, 'should i say i was a poly dropout and went to bishan ite' [he was from that ite, and haven't been to poly before at all]. then i was puzzled, so i asked, 'it's not like you're going for a matchmaking session. just say hi, and introduce your name would do ma.'

then he retorted that he's not as antisocial as me. keke. i'm one of the least antisocial person i know, in my opinion. keke.

after he came back from that outing, someone asked him how did it go, he said he was like a ghost to the other two, and just trailed behind them for the whole duration. so i replied him, 'sociable huh.'

and he made up some excuse again, what he was forbidden to say that he's a forumer, etc etc. loads of bullshit. who the hell would ask so much about someone he/she just met for the first time?

but again, not in the mood to play with him, so i chose to ignore him again.

might be reading too much into things that are happening on a website, but seeing that i've met and got along relatively well with most of the forumers there, can say that i've befriended a few already. but more or less there's a prejudice when you were to introduce a forumer friend to your own friends, "hi, this is XXX, i got to know him through an online forum." haha. they'll go, 'nerd', 'otaku', etc type of stuffs. but heck la. it's just a media to get to know more people, and to gain more sources of information.

mainly just something to kill time while staying at home la, to be honest.

stupidity makes my blood boil though. lol.
